Celebrities are under the spotlight constantly, so they have a lot of pressure to look thin and attractive. When they are not in the best shape, they get criticized in the tabloids. Although celebrities have more access to personal trainers and chefs, it is still not always easy to lose weight. Just like everyone else, celebrities have to work hard to drop weight. With that being said, here are five actors who have lost over 20 pounds.

When Sara Rue hit it big, she was known as the funny and chubby actress. She, however, got tired of being overweight and lost 50 pounds in 2010 by signing up with Jenny Craig. She learned to control her portions and started doing cardiovascular exercises five to six days a week.

Drew Carey

Although Drew Carey’s nerdy, chubby look got him famous, he didn’t like the way he looked. He was tired of being known as the fat guy and ended up losing 80 pounds in 2010. Since losing weight, he is no longer diabetic and feels a lot better about himself. He lost all the weight by cutting out carbohydrates and hitting the gym most days of the week.

John Goodman

John Goodman has always been a big man, but it has not stopped him from having a successful career. He, however, noticed that he kept gaining weight and decided to get healthy a couple of years ago. He quit drinking, cut sugar out of his diet and started exercising six days a week. He is now 100 pounds lighter and a lot healthier.

Kirstie Alley

Kirstie Alley is the queen of yo-yo dieting and has recently shed 100 pounds from her frame. She credits her weight loss to a new organic diet plan that she helped develop. Alley said this program has helped her lose weight and get healthy without feeling hungry.

Mila Kunis has never been overweight, but she had to lose 20 pounds to play a ballerina in “Black Swan.” She admitted that she had to go through some intense training to get down to 95 pounds and that it took her five months to lose the weight.

As you can see, several celebrities have had to work very hard to shed the pounds. They cut out junk food and started exercising most days of the week to look as good as they do now.
